PRODUCT INFORMATION
General Description
Gabbro is a phaneritic, mafic intrusive igneous rock formed from the slow cooling of Magnesium-rich and Iron-rich magma into a holocrystalline mass deep beneath the Earth's surface. Slow-cooling, coarse-grained Gabbro is chemically equivalent to rapid-cooling, fine-grained Basalt. Gabbro is also known as Merlinite a name given to this "Marble" by Robert Simmons. This is a very attractive and largely inexpensive material which has a black matrix with grey to white specular inclusions, which produces a stunning range of features, patterns and contrast. Price is grade dependent. Items are as shown.Product Data
